Beijing — China has once again declared that Arunachal Pradesh is “under Indian occupation” and vowed that steps will be taken to reclaim the region. Beijing emphasized that the area is an integral part of Chinese sovereignty and regaining control over it remains a key priority in its foreign policy.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry stated that India continues to maintain an “illegal occupation” of the territory, which China refers to as South Tibet. Beijing added that resolving border disputes will require India to “acknowledge the historical facts.”
The statement comes at a time of persistent tensions between the two countries across multiple sectors of the Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh border regions.
