LAHORE: A high-level meeting was convened under the joint chairmanship of Provincial Minister Faisal Ayub Khokhar and MNA & President PML-N Lahore Malik Saif-ul-Malook Khokhar to review issues and ongoing development projects in NA-126 under the Lahore Development Plan.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Lahore Syed Musa Raza, MD WASA Ghufran Ahmed, officials from NESPAK, Barrister Umair Khokhar, and representatives from other concerned departments. Officials gave detailed briefings on the progress of development works across the constituency.
The forum reviewed the status of road construction and rehabilitation projects, with particular emphasis on longstanding sewerage and drainage issues. WASA was directed to ensure the immediate resolution of drainage problems and expedite the identification of all critical points.
Discussions also covered the restoration of green belts and parks, upgradation of streetlights, improvements in traffic management, and the performance of MCL regarding cleanliness and road maintenance. NESPAK officials shared comprehensive updates on ongoing projects, along with area-wise reports.
Provincial Minister Faisal Ayub Khokhar instructed all departments to accelerate the pace of development work, stressing that delays would not be tolerated and that public trust must be strengthened through visible progress. MNA Malik Saif-ul-Malook Khokhar emphasized the need for stronger interdepartmental coordination and strict implementation of a unified work plan, reaffirming that resolving public issues swiftly remains a top priority.
The meeting concluded with a consensus to fast-track public service delivery in NA-126, establish a 24/7 response mechanism, and set clear timelines for all departments. Representatives from MCL, LESCO, WASA, and other relevant institutions were also present.
