LAHORE, Pakistan – Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari has strongly condemned recent statements made by politician Shafi Jan, describing his rhetoric as “uncivilized” and a “disgrace” to social values.
In a sharp rebuttal, Bokhari stated that Jan’s use of foul language reflects a “gutter mentality” that stains the reputation of both Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Pashtun community. She argued that his behavior lacks reasoning and character, proving a significant lapse in personal values.
Expressing “deepest sympathy” for the women of Jan’s household, including his mother, the Minister remarked that his public conduct brings shame to the environment in which he was raised. She concluded by emphasizing that true leadership should be shown through manners and decency, rather than “wild” and abusive language.
