The Punjab Home Department has approved martyrs’ packages for 14 police personnel who laid down their lives in the line of duty, following a meeting chaired by Provincial Law Minister Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan.
The meeting was attended by Secretary Home Dr. Ahmed Javed Qazi, Additional IGP Imran Arshad, Additional Secretary Police Kanwar Anwar Ali Khan, DIG Welfare Zeeshan Asghar, and the Additional Director Law.
According to the details, Martyrs’ Package–II was approved for:
Inspector Shahzad Anwar
Sub-Inspectors Haroon Hayat, Ahmed Raza, and Habibullah
Head Constable Iftikhar Sindhu
Constables Mehboob Ahmed and Ashfaq Ahmed
The package was also approved for five constables martyred in the Kaccha area of Basti Sheikhani, Rahim Yar Khan.
Additionally, Martyrs’ Package–III was approved for Sub-Inspector Hamid Ameer and driver Ghulam Murtaza.
Law Minister Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan directed that the approved packages be implemented immediately in accordance with prescribed rules and regulations, emphasizing that all dues must be disbursed to the families without delay.
“The police martyrs are the pride of the nation, and no injustice will be allowed. The protection and welfare of their families remains the top priority of the Punjab government,” he said. “Those who laid down their lives for the homeland are our true heroes.”
