Islamabad (February 3, 2026) — Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has extended heartfelt congratulations to the nation and Muslims worldwide on the auspicious occasion of Shab-e-Barat.
In his official message, the Prime Minister stated:
“I extend my heartfelt congratulations from the depths of my heart to the people of Pakistan and Muslims around the world on this blessed and soul-enriching occasion of Shab-e-Barat.
This sacred night of the 15th of Shaban-ul-Muazzam provides an opportunity to review our deeds before Allah Almighty, seek forgiveness for intentional and unintentional shortcomings, and purify the soul.
This blessed night offers Muslims the chance to seek Allah’s grace, mercy, blessings, and forgiveness.
May Allah Almighty grant all Muslims the honor of benefiting from the spiritual value and dignity of this blessed night.
Indeed, this great and sacred night is a special favor from Allah Tabarak wa Ta’ala, refreshing the religious values of faith and obedience to Allah among Muslims.
Shab-e-Barat is the name of sincerely accounting for human actions with pure intention, along with heartfelt repentance and seeking divine guidance.
This night indeed inspires us to reform our individual and collective lives, making righteousness and piety the guiding light.
May Allah Almighty grant us all the blessing of walking the path of righteousness in deeds and following the best example (Uswah Hasana), so that we may promote goodness, compassion, justice, fairness, and other positive values at the societal level.
On this occasion, I appeal to the nation to purify not only individually but also as a nation fulfill their duties with sincerity.
In these blessed hours of Shab-e-Barat, we pray with raised hands that Allah Almighty make our beloved country a cradle of peace, stability, unity, mutual harmony, progress, and prosperity, and enable us all to play a constructive role for national stability, development, and well-being.
Ameen!”
