Islamabad, February 9, 2026 — The two sons of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan, Qasim Khan and Sulaiman Khan, have been unable to secure visas from the Pakistan High Commission in London.
According to diplomatic sources cited by The News, the brothers submitted visa applications last month, but the requests remain pending at the Ministry of Interior in Islamabad due to technical shortcomings in the applications.
Sources revealed that the applicants were contacted to rectify the deficiencies and provide the required additional information, but they showed no interest in complying or completing the necessary documentation.
Further details indicate that both, who hold British passports, listed their place of birth as London and did not clearly establish any connection to Pakistan in their applications (such as family ties or other relevant links). Additionally, their travel history was not provided accurately or completely, contributing to the delay in processing.
While the family has accused the government of deliberately stalling the visa process to prevent them from meeting their incarcerated father, official sources maintain that the issue is purely technical and administrative in nature, with no political decision involved.
The matter has gained attention amid ongoing concerns about Imran Khan’s health and restricted family access during his detention. The sons have previously described the situation as collective punishment and called for international attention to the issue.
