LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Information and Culture Punjab, Azma Bokhari, has stated that Punjab is outperforming all other provinces in governance and development under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
She remarked that Maryam Nawaz is serving the people with dedication and compassion, likening her approach to that of a caring mother, while taking practical steps to ensure public welfare and well-being.
Highlighting recent initiatives, Azma Bokhari said the governance model in Punjab has undergone a significant transformation, with services now reaching citizens at their doorsteps. During the holy month of Ramadan, financial assistance worth billions of rupees has been distributed among millions of deserving individuals, providing direct relief.
The minister emphasized that the chief minister believes in action rather than promises, adding that tangible results of government policies are now visible across the province. She noted that the era of hollow slogans and political gimmicks in Punjab has come to an end.
Azma Bokhari further pointed out that where past governments took years to complete development projects, the current administration is delivering projects on a monthly basis—reflecting a clear shift in governance efficiency.
She added that over the past two years, more than 100 development projects have been launched under Maryam Nawaz’s leadership, setting a new benchmark. According to her, no other provincial government is currently matching Punjab’s pace of progress.
Concluding her remarks, Azma Bokhari said that those spreading negative propaganda against the Punjab government continue to fail, as public service and performance remain the administration’s top priorities.
