LAHORE: On the directions of Provincial Minister for Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Mal Sohail Shaukat Butt, Director General Social Welfare Dr Shehnshah Faisal Azim visited the Social Welfare Complex Township in Lahore.
During the visit, the DG conducted a detailed inspection of the Women Transitional Home (Dar-ul-Falah) and Halfway Home (Dar-us-Sukoon), where the management provided a comprehensive briefing on facilities being offered to women.
Dr. Shehnshah Faisal Azim also interacted with resident women and other individuals, obtaining direct feedback regarding the services. He reviewed ongoing welfare measures for destitute women and persons suffering from mental illnesses.
On the occasion, Eid gifts were distributed among deserving women and their children as part of welfare initiatives.
The DG Social Welfare directed authorities to further improve facilities in welfare institutions and enhance the standard of care to ensure maximum relief for deserving individuals.
