ISLAMABAD — A dignified rank-pinning ceremony was held at Police Lines Headquarters Islamabad to honour 12 newly promoted police officers. Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Headquarters Malik Jameel Zafar attended the event as the chief guest and personally pinned the new ranks on the promoted officers.
The ceremony was held under the special directives of Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, as part of the ongoing series of departmental promotions within Islamabad Police. The event was also attended by AIG Logistics Abdul Haq Imrani, SP Headquarters Pari Gul Tarin, DSP Headquarters, and other senior police officers. Family members of the promoted officers were specially invited to witness and share in the occasion.
Addressing the ceremony, DIG Headquarters Malik Jameel Zafar paid tribute to the officers, saying, “I salute your hard work, dedication, courage, and determination. It is through your efforts and the grace of Allah Almighty that you have reached this milestone today.”
He reminded the newly promoted officers that their responsibilities had grown significantly with their elevated ranks. “This is a sacred institution and the responsibilities it carries must be fulfilled under all circumstances,” he said, urging them to perform their duties with integrity, serve justice to citizens, and uphold the honour of the police department.
The DIG expressed confidence that the officers would continue to carry out their duties with professionalism, goodwill, and a genuine spirit of public service, as they had always done.
