LAHORE: Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) Chairman Moazzam Iqbal Sipra chaired a high-level meeting to review strategies for enhancing revenue collection from the services sector, emphasizing that the business community remains a top priority for the government.
During the session, officials provided a detailed briefing on efforts to expand the tax net and bring additional service sectors under formal taxation. Directions were issued to ensure the registration of unregistered businesses and to prioritize the promotion of e-filing and e-payment systems.
The meeting also examined proposals to make the tax system more transparent and user-friendly through digitalization and automation, along with awareness campaigns to boost tax compliance. It was decided to soon launch a dedicated WhatsApp helpline to facilitate quick and efficient resolution of taxpayer complaints.
