Islamabad (Report By M.Saleem ) — Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi held an open darbar (Khuli Kacheri) at the Central Police Office under the Open Door Policy. Police officers and citizens presented their grievances, which the IG personally heard and issued immediate instructions to the concerned officers for resolution.
IG Rizvi emphasized that the welfare of police officers along with the merit-based and prompt resolution of citizens’ issues remains the top priority of Islamabad Police. He stated that any citizen facing any problem related to police can freely approach the open darbar, adding, “My doors are always open for the citizens of Islamabad.”
While issuing directives on public complaints, the IG ordered that all applications must be resolved on merit within the stipulated time frame and reports submitted to the Central Police Office. He further instructed all SDPOs and SHOs to strictly adhere to the designated timings, hold meetings with citizens as scheduled, and resolve their issues promptly and fairly.
IG Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi added that Islamabad Police is taking several measures for the convenience of citizens, and the daily holding of open darbars is playing a key role in addressing issues on a priority basis.
This initiative is being seen as a significant step towards enhancing transparency, public trust, and efficient service delivery in the federal capital.
