Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif met Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in Jeddah on Wednesday as part of his official visit to the Kingdom.
The high-level bilateral meeting, which is still underway, focused on strengthening the longstanding strategic partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, enhancing economic and trade cooperation, and discussing the regional security situation.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar accompanied the Prime Minister during the meeting.
This visit marks the first leg of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s four-day tour to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Türkiye (April 15–18, 2026). The discussions are expected to cover bilateral cooperation as well as broader regional peace and stability efforts, including developments related to ongoing diplomatic initiatives in the Middle East.
