Budapest: Hungary’s newly elected Prime Minister Peter Magyar has declared that his government will arrest any world leader who holds an active arrest warrant from the International Criminal Court (ICC). When asked by a journalist whether Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would be detained if he visited Hungary, Magyar confirmed that the law would apply equally to all. He also announced that his government will halt the ICC withdrawal process initiated by former Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, which was widely seen as an effort to shield Netanyahu from potential arrest over alleged war crimes committed in Gaza.
