LAHORE: The Punjab government has decided to launch a major digital skills initiative for women under the title “E-Learn, She Earn.”
According to media reports, the program aims to equip thousands of women with modern digital skills to enhance their employment opportunities and financial independence. Women aged between 15 and 35 years will be eligible to benefit from the initiative.
The project, estimated to cost around Rs70 crore, will run for one year. As part of the program, participants will receive three months of free online training, along with a monthly stipend, laptops, and internet access to support their learning.
Courses offered under the initiative will include digital customer care, graphic designing, e-commerce store management, and digital marketing, among other in-demand skills.
The program is being seen as a significant step toward women’s empowerment and increased participation in the digital economy.
