Annual Urs of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh a Magnificent Manifestation of Spirituality, Peace and Love: Dr. Bhutta

LAHORE: Secretary Auqaf Punjab Dr. Ehsan Bhutta has said that the annual Urs of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh serves as a magnificent manifestation of spirituality, peace, love and humanity, attracting millions of devotees seeking divine blessings and inner tranquillity.
He expressed these views while presiding over a high-level meeting regarding arrangements for the Ghusl Mubarak and annual Urs celebrations at Data Darbar.
The meeting was attended by Additional Secretary Auqaf Nabeela Javed, Director General Religious Affairs Punjab Hafiz Anees ur Rehman, Administrator Data Darbar Muhammad Ali Khan, Khateeb Data Darbar Ramzan Sialvi, Assistant Director Religious Affairs Israr Shah, Executive Engineer Auqaf Qasair Munir, SDO Rana Zohaib and other officials.
During the meeting, officials conducted a comprehensive review of administrative, security and welfare arrangements for the Urs celebrations. Detailed discussions were held on security deployment, crowd management, sanitation, langar arrangements, accommodation, parking management, traffic regulation, medical services, illumination, emergency preparedness and facilitation measures for devotees expected to participate in large numbers.
Dr. Ehsan Bhutta directed all concerned departments to work in close coordination to ensure the peaceful, organised and dignified conduct of the sacred event. He emphasized that providing maximum comfort, safety and convenience to devotees remains the top priority of the Punjab Auqaf Department.
He further stated that the teachings of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh continue to illuminate hearts with the timeless message of tolerance, compassion, brotherhood and service to humanity. He remarked that promoting these values is not only a religious responsibility but also a social necessity.
The Secretary Auqaf instructed the authorities to ensure high standards of cleanliness, uninterrupted utility services, enhanced surveillance and round-the-clock monitoring throughout the Urs celebrations. Special emphasis was also placed on medical assistance, emergency response services and facilities for women, elderly devotees and differently-abled visitors.
During the meeting, it was decided that the Ghusl Mubarak ceremony would be held on the 9th of Muharram-ul-Haram with traditional reverence, while the annual Urs Mubarak of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh would be observed from 18th to 20th Safar-ul-Muzaffar with great religious devotion and spiritual enthusiasm.
Millions of devotees from across Pakistan and abroad are expected to participate in the sacred celebrations at Data Darbar.
