LAHORE: Adviser to the Chief Minister of Punjab on AI and Special Initiatives, Ali Dar, held an important meeting with a high-level delegation from IBI Group China to discuss investment opportunities in Punjab, joint ventures, and the promotion of bilateral economic cooperation.
The delegation was led by Liu Zhai. During the meeting, both sides agreed to enhance cooperation in trade, e-commerce, agriculture, advanced agricultural technology, and electric vehicle manufacturing.
The Chinese delegation expressed strong interest in Punjab’s investment potential, industrial growth, and business environment.
Speaking on the occasion, Ali Dar said that under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, practical steps are being taken to transform Punjab into one of the region’s leading investment hubs, adding that global partnerships are essential for achieving this objective.
He said new avenues of foreign investment are opening in Punjab and that economic cooperation between China and Punjab would reach new heights, further accelerating industrial development. He added that Chinese investment in electric vehicle manufacturing and modern agricultural technology could prove to be a game changer for Punjab’s economy.
Ali Dar further said the Punjab government is ensuring full facilitation for investors through a transparent system and swift decision-making so that international investors can invest with confidence.
He emphasized that stronger economic ties with China would create significant opportunities for employment, business, and growth for the youth, while efforts are underway to transform Punjab into a hub of AI, industry, and the modern economy.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to strengthen future engagements, exchange delegations, and convert joint projects into practical initiatives.
