Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff and Commander Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, visited Quetta Garrison on Tuesday, reaffirming the military’s unwavering resolve to eliminate terrorism in all its forms across the country.
During the visit, Field Marshal Munir addressed officers and faculty at the prestigious Command and Staff College, Quetta, commending its high academic and professional standards. He stressed the urgent need for Pakistan’s armed forces to adapt to rapidly evolving warfare, emphasising multi-domain operations, emerging technologies, and tri-services integration as priorities for the future battlefield.
In a strong message directed at hostile forces, the Field Marshal declared that Pakistan’s rise cannot be obstructed through propaganda, fake news, or externally sponsored terrorism, warning that proxies working to destabilise the country would ultimately fail against the resilience and unity of the Pakistani state and its people.
On the security situation in Balochistan, he underlined that lasting peace requires not only military operations but also a people-centric approach — encompassing inclusive development, improved governance, and strengthening public trust in state institutions.
The Field Marshal praised the high morale and operational readiness of troops deployed across the province.
