LAHORE, June 12, 2026: Adviser to the Chief Minister Punjab on AI and Special Initiatives and Chairman of the Committee for Religious Affairs of the shrine of , Ali Dar, visited the complex to review ongoing development, restoration, and modernization projects.
During the visit, officials provided a detailed briefing on the progress of various development initiatives underway at the historic shrine complex. Ali Dar also reviewed construction, infrastructure improvement, and upgradation work being carried out jointly by the Communication and Works Department (C&W) and the Traffic Engineering and Planning Agency (TEPA).
Speaking on the occasion, Ali Dar said that under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, special emphasis is being placed on the restoration and development of religious and historical sites across the province. He said the provision of world-class facilities for millions of devotees and visitors remains a key priority of the provincial government.
Highlighting the historical, spiritual, and cultural significance of Data Darbar, he noted that efforts are underway to further improve the shrine’s infrastructure, public facilities, aesthetics, and overall environment.
“All development projects will be completed on schedule and in accordance with the highest quality standards to ensure a safe, organized, and modern experience for visitors,” he said.
Ali Dar added that ongoing infrastructure improvements around the shrine would help enhance civic amenities and improve traffic management in the surrounding area. He reiterated that practical measures are being implemented to transform the Data Darbar Complex into a model religious, cultural, and tourism destination.
He also directed the relevant departments to maintain the pace and quality of ongoing work so that the public can benefit from the upgraded facilities at the earliest possible stage.
