LAHORE: The 27th meeting of the Pakistan Philosophical Association (PPA) was held at the Gymkhana Club Lahore, bringing together distinguished scholars, former senior officials, and successful candidates of the CSS 2025 examination to celebrate academic excellence and public service.
The meeting was chaired by former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Malik Khuda Bakhsh Awan, while Prof. Dr. Javed Iqbal Nadeem, President of the Pakistan Philosophical Association, hosted the event.
Among the special guests were Wajahat Hussain, Chairman of Topper Academy, and several successful CSS 2025 officers, including Muhammad Shaheer Hussain (Customs), Dr. Noor-ul-Ain (Audit and Accounts), Dr. Atiya Khalid (Police Service), Rabia Fatima (Customs), Mir Ahmed Jalal (Administration), Osama Shahzad Cheema (Administration), Dr. Sumbal Islam (Police), and Zeeshan Altaf (Police).
Welcoming the participants, Prof. Dr. Javed Iqbal Nadeem urged the young officers to dedicate their academic, intellectual, and professional capabilities to the service of Pakistan. He emphasized the importance of integrity, critical thinking, and commitment to national development.
Former IGP Ghalib Ali Bandesha advised the newly selected officers to discharge their responsibilities with sincerity and good intentions. Other speakers, including Colonel Imtiaz Mahmood, Prof. Atiya Syed, Prof. Tanveer Sadiq, Prof. M.A. Raf Raf, Dr. Muhammad Idrees Rana, Ehsan Batalvi, Ishrat Shamim, Dr. Shafiq Ajami, and Prof. Mahfouz Qutb, congratulated the successful candidates and encouraged them to uphold the highest standards of public service.
During the ceremony, Prof. Mahfouz Qutb presented his calligraphy artworks to the guests as commemorative gifts.
Speaking on the occasion, Wajahat Hussain thanked the Pakistan Philosophical Association and Prof. Dr. Javed Iqbal Nadeem for organizing the event and recognizing the achievements of the young officers.
In his presidential remarks, Malik Khuda Bakhsh Awan congratulated the CSS qualifiers and reminded them of their vital role in shaping the country’s future.
“You are the architects of the state and the intellectual and moral guardians of the national destiny. Your true success will not be measured solely by professional competence, but by intellectual depth, moral courage, cultural awareness, and a commitment to just governance,” he said.
The event concluded with a tea reception hosted by the Gymkhana Club Lahore, providing participants an opportunity for interaction and discussion.
