The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested five individuals — three Chinese and two Pakistani nationals — in a major raid on a residential property in Islamabad’s F-7/1 sector on suspicion of involvement in human organ smuggling.
The arrested Chinese nationals have been identified as Li Gang Lei, Wang Bhao, and Pengfei Gao, while the Pakistani suspects are Waqas Sarwar and Qaiser Hanif. According to FIA officials, the Pakistani suspects allegedly assisted the Chinese nationals as drivers and facilitators within what is believed to be an organized human supply network.
During the operation, investigators recovered what are reported to be various human organs and alleged human tissue from the premises, all of which have been seized and sent for forensic examination.
All five suspects have been transferred to an undisclosed location for further interrogation. The FIA has launched a broader investigation to identify and apprehend other potential members of the alleged international network.
