The foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) have emphasized that achieving lasting peace, stability, and security in the Middle East requires addressing concerns related to Iran’s missile program and its regional proxy groups.
In a joint statement, GCC foreign ministers stressed that comprehensive diplomatic efforts are necessary to reduce tensions, safeguard international maritime routes, and ensure regional security. They underscored that dialogue and diplomacy remain the most effective means of resolving conflicts and preventing further escalation.
The ministers expressed concern over rising tensions in the region and urged all parties to exercise restraint and avoid actions that could further complicate the situation.
According to the GCC, sustainable peace can only be achieved by addressing the root causes of regional insecurity, including missile proliferation, the activities of armed non-state groups, and interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states.
The foreign ministers also called on the international community to play a constructive and balanced role in promoting peace, stability, and economic development across the Middle East.
They reaffirmed the GCC’s commitment to supporting diplomatic initiatives aimed at enhancing regional cooperation and ensuring a secure and prosperous future for the people of the region.
