TEHRAN: Iran’s Supreme National Security Council has warned Israel that any renewed strikes on its key facilities or infrastructure will be met with a “decisive and crushing” response — one that would threaten Israel’s very existence.
Council Secretary Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf Zolqadr said Iran possesses “full capability” to respond effectively to any aggression against its national security and sovereignty. He stressed that Iran will not tolerate further attacks and that Israel would pay a heavy price for any renewed action.
The statement follows remarks by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who said Israel would never allow Iran to acquire nuclear weapons and would do “whatever it takes” to prevent that outcome.
