LAHORE: Training sessions for young athletes are continuing across Punjab under the CM Punjab Sports Academies, an initiative of the Sports Board Punjab aimed at developing emerging sporting talent through modern coaching methods.
At the CM Punjab Cricket Academy located at Nishtar Park Sports Complex, more than 40 young players participated in specialized training sessions. Expert coaches Muhammad Usman and Badal Babar conducted the coaching, focusing on modern batting and bowling techniques, while also training participants in proper shot selection, stroke play, and effective ball striking.
Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi said that more than 2,500 boys and girls are currently receiving professional training in various sports disciplines through the CM Punjab Sports Academies across the province.
He added that over 50 qualified coaches are providing modern, scientific training to young athletes, enabling them to enhance their technical skills, physical fitness, and competitive performance.
Muhammad Tariq Qureshi said the academies have become an important platform for identifying and nurturing talented athletes and are expected to play a significant role in producing future champions for Punjab and Pakistan.
