KHANEWAL: Deputy Commissioner Hina Arshad inspected the ongoing rehabilitation work of the District Sports Gymnasium being carried out under the Annual Development Programme (ADP) and reviewed progress on a proposed Hockey AstroTurf project aimed at strengthening sports infrastructure in the district.

During the visit, District Sports Officer Muhammad Hafiz Khan briefed the Deputy Commissioner on the scope and progress of the rehabilitation work.

Hina Arshad reviewed the quality and pace of construction and assessed the facilities being developed for athletes. She also visited the proposed site for the installation of a Hockey AstroTurf, which is expected to provide modern training facilities for local players.

The Deputy Commissioner said the Government of Punjab is taking practical steps to provide modern, high-quality sports facilities for young people across the province.

She emphasized that improved sports infrastructure would create better opportunities for talented youth to develop their skills, compete at higher levels, and excel in various sporting disciplines, contributing to the promotion of healthy activities and sports culture in the district.
