LAHORE: On the directives of the Principal of Ameer-ud-Din Medical College (AMC), Prof. Dr. Farooq Afzal, the administration of Lahore General Hospital (LGH) has prominently displayed the official parking rates to ensure transparency and facilitate patients and visitors.
Medical Superintendent (MS) LGH Prof. Dr. Faryad Hussain said the prescribed parking charges are Rs10 for motorcycles, Rs20 for auto-rickshaws, and Rs30 for cars.
He stated that the safety, convenience, and comfort of hospital visitors remain the administration’s top priority. He warned that any complaint regarding overcharging would result in strict action against the parking contractor in accordance with the rules and regulations.
Prof. Dr. Faryad Hussain urged the public to immediately report any instance of overcharging to the Duty Deputy Medical Superintendent (DMS), assuring that no contractor would be allowed to exploit patients or their attendants.
The Medical Superintendent also directed administrative doctors to ensure continuous monitoring of the parking system so that patients and their families do not face any inconvenience.
He further clarified that any vehicle found parked on a permanent basis within the hospital premises would be reported to law enforcement agencies, as the hospital parking facility is strictly reserved for patients, attendants, and hospital staff. He emphasized that this policy will be implemented without exception.
