LAHORE: The National Women Journalists Forum organized a special Mango Party for women journalists at the Lahore Press Club, with a large number of women journalists participating in the event.
The event was organized under the leadership of Forum President Farzana Chaudhry to celebrate the achievements and milestones of women journalists and their families.
The Mango Party was held in honor of Senior PTV Producer Mubashara Sultan on her appointment as Head of the PTV Current Affairs Department, Senior Journalist Sofia Yazdani on performing Hajj and being recognized with the Pride of Performance, and Senior Journalist Shumaila Iqbal’s daughter, Maham Tajammul, for securing an outstanding 1,047 marks in the matriculation examination. The event also celebrated the excellent matriculation result of Iman Fatima, daughter of the Forum’s General Secretary.
Senior journalists including Darakhshanda Alamdar, Rafia Naheed Ikram, Sadia Salahuddin, Rabia Azmat, Dr. Saima Iqbal, Effat Alvi, Nabila Akbar, Iqra Mughal, Lubni Khan, Fawzia Sultana, Aini Bajwa, Aafia Maqbool, Farah Alvi, Ayesha Tahseen, Zahida Parveen, Shakeela Atif, Mah Noor Imran and Iman Fatima, among others, attended the gathering.
Dressed in colorful and elegant outfits, the participating journalists expressed their happiness and added to the festive atmosphere.
The Forum arranged a traditional Mango Party featuring sweet and juicy mangoes, tea, pakoras, chips and other refreshments, creating a warm and enjoyable atmosphere amid the pleasant rainy season.
On the occasion, Darakhshanda Alamdar, Sadia Salahuddin and Lubni Khan presented gifts to Maham Tajammul in recognition of her outstanding matriculation results.
The women journalists highly appreciated the initiative taken by President Farzana Chaudhry and the office-bearers of the National Women Journalists Forum, saying that such activities provide an opportunity for women journalists to celebrate each other’s achievements and strengthen professional bonds, friendship and unity within the journalistic community.
