TikToker Shamsu Bibi Murder Case: Father, Brother Among 5 Arrested; Planned “Honor” Killing Revealed

TAXILA: The mystery behind the tragic murder of well-known TikToker Shamsu Bibi, also known as Ayesha Gulamna, has finally been solved. Police have arrested five suspects, including the victim’s father and brother.
SSP Operations Rawalpindi, Tariq Mehboob, revealed at a press conference that Shamsu Bibi was allegedly murdered in a premeditated “honor” killing. According to police, those arrested include the victim’s father, Fazal, her brother, Bashir, and other close relatives. During the investigation, authorities also traced the shooters and facilitators involved in the killing.
Police said the family reportedly objected to some of Shamsu Bibi’s activities, including her attendance at a particular event, after which the murder was allegedly planned. More than 100 CCTV cameras, along with advanced technology and human intelligence, were used to track down the suspects.
Notably, the initial FIR was registered by the victim’s own father, and financial disputes, among other angles, were initially cited as possible motives. However, police say the detailed investigation revealed that the killing was in fact a premeditated act carried out in the name of honor.
