HAFIZABAD: Jashn-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAWW) was celebrated with traditional religious fervour and enthusiasm across Hafizabad on 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal.
The district police made foolproof security arrangements to facilitate the devotees, while the district administration and religious organisations decorated government and private buildings, mosques and other prominent places with colourful flags, buntings and models depicting Baitullah and Roza-e-Rasool (SAWW). Government and private buildings were illuminated at night.
Three major processions were taken out from different parts of the city. Deputy Commissioner Abdul Razzaq participated in the processions and met prominent Ulema, including Syed Waseem-ul-Hassan Shah, Ghulam Mustafa Sultani and Muhammad Waseem Attari, members of the District Peace Committee.
The participants appreciated the security and administrative arrangements made by various departments. Special camps were established along the procession routes to provide food and drinking water to the devotees, while the routes were beautifully decorated and cleanliness arrangements were ensured.
Jashn-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAWW) was also celebrated in Pindi Bhattian, Sukheki Mandi, Jalalpur Bhattian and other towns and villages of the district. Special programmes were organised at government schools to highlight the teachings and life of the Holy Prophet (SAWW).
A Mehfil-e-Milad was also organised at the Government Vocational Training and Technical Education Centre for Women in Sukheki Mandi. Addressing the gathering, Principal Madam Khalida Rafique highlighted various aspects of Seerat-un-Nabi (SAWW) and urged the participants to follow the teachings and noble character of the Holy Prophet (SAWW).
The District Administration and Municipal Committee Hafizabad established special camps to ensure the provision of food and drinking water to devotees. ADCG/Administrator Municipal Committee Fiza Arshad, Assistant Commissioner Nurgjis Khatoon and CEO Municipal Committee Ikram Ullah Sandhu welcomed Ulema and participants of the processions at the camps.
