The film “Mirzapur: The Movie,” starring Ali Fazal, Divyendu, and Pankaj Tripathi, has crossed the ₹175 crore mark at the global box office on its fifth day. Released on September 4, 2026, the film is the first big-screen adaptation of the hit streaming series “Mirzapur,” which has run for three successful seasons.
According to trade estimates, the film earned ₹176.67 crore worldwide in just five days — crossing ₹100 crore domestically over its opening weekend alone, and adding ₹27 crore from overseas markets.
The story is set against the 2018 backdrop and reveals a previously untold chapter connected to the show’s first season. Rasika Dugal, Shweta Tripathi, Shriya Pilgaonkar, and Abhishek Banerjee reprise their series roles, while Jitendra Kumar steps into the role of Bablu Pandit, previously played by Vikrant Massey. Ravi Kishan and Sonal Chauhan join the cast as new additions.
The film is presented by Amazon MGM Studios and Excel Entertainment.
