SAHIWAL: Assistant Commissioner Maaham Wahid conducted a detailed inspection of the Child Protection Institution in Sahiwal and reviewed the facilities being provided to children, cleanliness arrangements and administrative affairs.

During the visit, the Assistant Commissioner inspected the boys’ hostel, mess, medical camp, Child Protection School and various other sections of the institution.

She also met with the children residing at the hostel, interacted with them in a friendly manner and inquired about their well-being, education, daily facilities and other needs.

The children engaged in an informal conversation with the Assistant Commissioner and briefed her about the facilities available at the institution.

Assistant Commissioner Maaham Wahid also inspected the quality and cleanliness of food being prepared for the children and directed the administration to maintain high standards of food quality and hygiene at all times.

She further directed the authorities to whitewash the hostel rooms, improve cleanliness and make the overall environment more pleasant and comfortable for the children.

During her inspection of the medical camp, school and other sections, she reviewed the facilities available for the welfare, education and healthcare of the children.

Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Commissioner Maaham Wahid said that providing children with a safe, clean and better environment was among the government’s top priorities. She said all available resources would be utilized to further improve standards of childcare, education, healthcare and basic facilities for children.
