The U.S. Embassy in Pakistan marked the completion of its “STEAM Builder” programme at a ceremony at Lincoln Corner Islamabad, after more than 100 participants were trained in 3D printing, coding and digital modeling.
Participants from six Lincoln Corners across the country attended, according to an embassy statement. The programme was delivered in collaboration with Pakistani technology firm AzCorps.
“STEAM Builder is more than a training program. It is a statement about Lincoln Corners serving as hubs of technology, creativity, and opportunity,” Acting Minister Counselor for Public Diplomacy David Moyer said in remarks at the ceremony.
As part of the embassy’s “Freedom 250” initiative, two items built by participants were unveiled: a 3D-printed Liberty Bell and a 3D-printed map of the United States. Both will be kept permanently at Lincoln Corner Islamabad, located at the United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP).
The statement said the 15-location Lincoln Corners network will offer more STEAM-focused programming in 2027, which marks the 80th anniversary of U.S.-Pakistan bilateral relations.
