Malik Mahmood Mubarak, 70, and his son Ayaz Mubarak, 40, were returning home when assailants opened fire on their vehicle. Both survived with injuries.
The statement described the attack as part of continuing violence against the community and called on authorities to ensure the victims’ immediate protection, arrest those responsible, and take concrete steps to prevent further attacks.
It also said that on 7 September 2026, banners were reportedly displayed along Main University Road in Sargodha carrying messages inciting hatred and violence against Ahmadis. It urged authorities to take immediate notice and act against those responsible.
