Lahore — Senator Mohsin Naqvi has said that the head of a political party is deeply angry over not being given a role in the governor’s rule and not receiving the governorship. He alleged that the politician had relied on the establishment for decades to pursue politics.
Speaking informally to journalists, Naqvi said the politician had even obtained air tickets for his party through the establishment. He said such politicians were not in a position to point fingers at others today.
He said political differences were one thing, but debate should be based on arguments and facts rather than uncivil language and accusations.
Naqvi said some political leaders were now expressing concern over the resources of the former tribal districts, although these districts had not received their due share for years. He asked why these leaders had remained silent at that time.
He questioned why they had not spoken for the rights of the people of the former FATA districts during that period.
