LAHORE: Punjab University (PU) has won the All Pakistan HEC Inter-University Bodybuilding Championship after 16 years. The competition was held at Education University Lahore with teams from universities across the country.
PU secured 1st position with 92 points, while the University of Lahore (UOL) came 2nd with 72 points, and the University of Central Punjab (UCP) finished 3rd with 70 points.
PU Director Sports Dr. Shabbir Sarwar said this victory was historic, as the university last won the title in 2009. He credited the success to Vice Chancellor Dr. Muhammad Ali’s sports-friendly policies and the hard work of team manager Nadeem Munir, coaches, and players. Last year, PU had finished in 4th place.
Vice Chancellor Dr. Muhammad Ali met the winning team, congratulated them, and celebrated the achievement as players chanted pro-PU slogans and beat drums in excitement.
