Islamabad: According to security sources (SCO), the Government of Pakistan has imposed a ban on Adil Raja under the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA) after the federal cabinet approved a summary circulated by the Interior Division.
SCO sources said the decision was taken through circulation and formally endorsed by the cabinet. The cabinet has directed relevant authorities to submit an implementation and compliance report to the Cabinet Division within seven days.
Officials said the move was taken in view of national security considerations and alleged activities considered harmful to state institutions. Following the ban, further legal and administrative measures, including action related to digital and financial activities, may be initiated under the law.
The decision is expected to draw reactions from legal and political circles, while further details are anticipated after the issuance of an official notification.
