ISLAMABAD — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar received a telephone call from Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi on Monday, during which the two leaders discussed the evolving situation in the Middle East and the broader region.
Both ministers underscored the critical importance of urgent de-escalation, stressing the need for diplomatic efforts to prevent further deterioration of the regional security situation.
DPM/FM Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to supporting all initiatives aimed at reducing tensions and achieving lasting peace and stability in the region.
Foreign Minister Motegi, in turn, appreciated Pakistan’s constructive and proactive role in facilitating dialogue and diplomacy for regional peace, expressing Japan’s full support for Islamabad’s efforts.
The two leaders agreed to maintain close and regular contact on matters of mutual concern.
