DG Safe City and DIG Traffic Muhammad Haroon Joiya chaired a high-level meeting with senior traffic officers at Safe City Islamabad headquarters, issuing a series of directives aimed at improving traffic management across the federal capital.



The meeting was attended by Chief Traffic Officer Islamabad Muhammad Sarfraz Virk, the Safe City IT team, Station Director FM, and other senior officials.
Key directives issued during the meeting included a crackdown on traffic law violators, ensuring smooth traffic flow around livestock markets (mandi areas) at all times, resolving parking problems at public and tourist locations, and providing the best possible facilities to citizens visiting the Traffic Headquarters.
Officials were also instructed to ensure road safety awareness lectures by the Education Team in educational institutions across Islamabad, and to broadcast real-time traffic updates and awareness messages continuously on FM 92.4.
DIG Traffic Muhammad Haroon Joiya stated: “Islamabad Police is keeping traffic moving smoothly across the city through its officers, personnel, and Safe City cameras. Citizens can contact the Traffic Helpline 1915 or the Emergency Helpline Pukar 15 for any guidance or traffic emergency.”
