CBS News, citing multiple sources, reported the U.S. and Israel are preparing a possible bombing campaign against Iran’s energy infrastructure — power plants and refineries — potentially over the weekend; final approval had not been given. Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell wouldn’t confirm targets but said the war plan is fully ready. Strikes, if authorized, could wrap up before markets reopen Monday.
Iran’s response: Iran warned it will target critical Israeli infrastructure and U.S. energy facilities in the region if struck again. A senior Iranian security official told Tasnim that Tehran has prepared broad response plans and is “fully ready” to execute them.
Russia-Iran intelligence sharing: NBC News reported Russia is giving Iran satellite surveillance and signals intelligence that could strengthen its air defenses and improve strike accuracy against U.S. forces. Neither country commented.
