LAHORE: A high-level trade delegation led by Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) President Faheem Ur Rehman Saigol has departed for an official visit to Switzerland, France, and Germany to strengthen Pakistan’s trade and economic relations with Europe, promote exports, and explore new avenues for foreign investment.
During the visit, the delegation will meet representatives of chambers of commerce, business associations, investors, industrial organisations, and trade experts to discuss expanding bilateral trade, encouraging joint investments, facilitating technology transfer, addressing challenges facing Pakistan’s export sector, and identifying new opportunities for economic cooperation.
Before departing, LCCI President Faheem Ur Rehman Saigol said European markets offer significant opportunities for Pakistani products and emphasised the importance of building stronger business-to-business linkages to maximise export potential.
He said the Lahore Chamber has consistently worked to promote Pakistan’s industrial and commercial sectors internationally while helping local businesses gain access to new global markets.
Saigol said the visit would provide an important platform to showcase Pakistan’s industrial, commercial, and export potential to European investors and business communities. He added that technology transfer, industrial collaboration, and joint ventures would contribute to economic growth, strengthen industrial capacity, and generate new employment opportunities.
Expressing optimism about the outcomes of the visit, he said the delegation’s meetings and trade engagements would help establish long-term business partnerships, creating lasting benefits for Pakistani exporters, industrialists, and investors.
He reaffirmed LCCI’s commitment to promoting sustainable economic growth, increasing exports, and attracting foreign direct investment to further strengthen Pakistan’s economy.
