Farogh-e-Taleem Gold Medal Award Ceremony Held at Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry

LAHORE: A grand Farogh-e-Taleem Gold Medal Award Ceremony was held at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), where prominent educationists, journalists, doctors, medical professionals and representatives of the business community were honoured for their outstanding professional services.

Vice Chancellor Punjab University Professor Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah was the chief guest, while Daily Pakistan Chief Editor Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami, Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Faheem-ur-Rehman Sehgal, Daily Nawa-e-Waqt Editorial In-charge and senior columnist Saeed Aasi, Professor Dr. Ikram-ul-Haq, LCCI Executive Member Firdous Khokhar, renowned gynecologist Professor Shahina and Vice Chancellors of various universities were among the distinguished guests.

The ceremony was attended by prominent educationists, senior journalists, renowned doctors, professors, administrators of the Higher Education Department of Punjab and members of the business community from across the province.

The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran.

In their respective addresses, Vice Chancellor Punjab University Professor Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah, LCCI President Faheem-ur-Rehman Sehgal and Daily Pakistan Chief Editor Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami appreciated the efforts of Chairman Idara Farogh-e-Taleem Punjab Tayyab Virk for organizing the prestigious ceremony and promoting recognition of professional excellence.

Professor Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah presented Gold Medals to senior journalist Saeed Aasi, President National Women Journalists Forum Farzana Chaudhry, Neurosurgeon Professor Dr. Anwar Chaudhry, Professor Nasir Bashir, Professor Sawira Shami, Professor Dr. Zahid Mian and Gynecologist Professor Shahina.

The awards were presented in recognition of the recipients’ professional services and contributions while serving in various important positions in the fields of education, journalism, medicine and administration.

Vice Chancellor Punjab University Professor Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah and Chairman Idara Farogh-e-Taleem Punjab Tayyab Virk also presented commemorative shields to Daily Pakistan Chief Editor Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami and LCCI President Faheem-ur-Rehman Sehgal in recognition of their services.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Tayyab Virk thanked Vice Chancellor Punjab University Professor Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah, the special guests and all participants for attending the ceremony and encouraging the initiative.

Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami and Tayyab Virk later presented a commemorative shield to Professor Dr. Muhammad Ali Shah as a token of appreciation for his participation as chief guest.

The ceremony concluded with a high tea for the distinguished guests, marking the end of a memorable and prestigious event celebrating excellence in education, journalism, medicine and other professional fields.
