LAHORE: TGI Fridays™ has announced a landmark development agreement with Meerab Hospitality, marking a new chapter for the American restaurant brand in Pakistan and accelerating its expansion across South Asia.
The agreement follows TGI Fridays’ recent development partnership in the Maldives and underscores the brand’s strategy of expanding its global footprint through strategic, long-term franchise partnerships.
With a population of more than 240 million and a median age of around 21, Pakistan offers significant scale, a young consumer base and strong long-term growth potential. Rapid urbanisation, investment in shopping malls and mixed-use developments, and an evolving dining culture are creating new opportunities for international restaurant brands.
Through its partnership with Meerab Hospitality, TGI Fridays plans to introduce its signature combination of bold American flavours, legendary mocktails, high-energy atmosphere and distinctive hospitality to Pakistan’s growing consumer market.
Meerab Hospitality, the franchise and development arm of Meerab Properties, brings nearly two decades of experience across the Middle East, South Asia and Central Asia, along with extensive international hospitality expertise.
The partnership is expected to contribute to the development of Pakistan’s hospitality sector by creating employment opportunities, investing in local talent and introducing a new generation of customers to the TGI Fridays experience.
