Islamabad: Acting on special directives from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Security Captain (retd) Syed Zeeshan Haider chaired a high-level meeting to review security arrangements for Chinese-funded projects in the federal capital.

The meeting was attended by a delegation representing Chinese projects operating in Islamabad. Detailed discussions were held on overall security measures, with particular focus on vehicle scanning systems deployed at project sites.
During the briefing, the Chinese delegation outlined the operational effectiveness of the vehicle scanning systems, existing security procedures, and challenges currently being faced. Participants also shared recommendations aimed at further strengthening security standards.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Security Syed Zeeshan Haider reaffirmed that the protection of Chinese projects remains a top priority. He said security arrangements would be further enhanced through the effective use of modern technology.
He emphasized that improved security outcomes depend on close coordination, mutual cooperation, and timely exchange of information between all stakeholders.
The meeting also reviewed the future course of action, including steps to upgrade vehicle scanning mechanisms and reinforce security protocols. All participants expressed their commitment to jointly ensuring even more robust security for the projects in the coming period.
