WASHINGTON (International Desk) — April 08, 2026 — General Dan Caine, Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, has revealed the staggering logistical scale of Operation Epic Fury against Iran, offering a rare behind-the-scenes look at what it took to sustain American forces during the six-week campaign.
Speaking alongside the Secretary of Defense at a media briefing, General Caine disclosed that US troops consumed over 6 million meals throughout the operation. The forces also drank approximately 950,000 gallons of coffee — the equivalent of roughly 7.6 million cups — along with 2 million energy drinks and significant quantities of nicotine products.
With a touch of humor, the General quipped, “I’m not saying we have a problem,” drawing laughter from those present. He nevertheless paid tribute to the immense sacrifices of the troops, noting that the operation was fought under extreme conditions — intense heat, darkness, and constant danger — which American forces met with unwavering resolve and courage.
