Islamabad Police have arrested 13 suspected criminals in a series of targeted operations across the federal capital, recovering significant quantities of drugs and illegal weapons in the process.
According to the Public Relations Officer of Islamabad Police, seven of the accused were arrested in connection with various criminal activities. During the operations, police teams seized 755 grams of ice (crystal methamphetamine), one gun, and five pistols along with ammunition from their possession. Cases have been formally registered against all accused and investigations are currently underway.
In a separate but simultaneous effort, police teams conducted a special campaign against proclaimed offenders and absconders, resulting in the arrest of six additional criminals wanted by law enforcement.
The operations were carried out under the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, who has ordered a sustained crackdown against crime and criminal elements to maintain peace and security in the federal capital.
SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, reaffirmed the department’s commitment to protecting the lives and property of residents. “No elements will be allowed to disturb public peace,” he stated. “Ensuring peace and protecting citizens remain the top priority of the Islamabad Police.”
Citizens are urged to report any suspicious activities to their nearest police station or contact the emergency helpline Pucar-15 immediately. Islamabad Police emphasised that combating crime requires mutual cooperation between law enforcement and the public.
