ISLAMABAD — Report by Muhammad Saleem The Islamabad High Court has approved the merger of Telenor Pakistan Private Limited into Pak Telecom Mobile Limited (Ufone).
Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro announced the decision, ruling that all assets, properties, rights, and liabilities of Telenor Pakistan will be transferred to Pak Telecom Mobile Limited (Ufone).
Under the court’s ruling, once the merger is complete, Telenor Pakistan Private Limited will be deemed automatically dissolved without any further legal proceedings.
The merger is expected to give Ufone a broader customer base and expanded network as it consolidates its position in Pakistan’s telecommunications market.
