Police Encounter: CCD Official Seriously Injured, Notorious Robber Akbar Khosa Killed

Lahore (Farzana Chaudhry): The Crime Control Department (CCD) Punjab continues its province-wide operations against criminal elements to eradicate heinous crimes and maintain law and order.

According to official sources, a fierce exchange of fire took place in Dera Ghazi Khan between a CCD team and the gang of notorious extortionist and robber Akbar Khosa. During the encounter, Akbar Khosa, who was widely regarded as a symbol of terror in the region, was killed, while CCD official Shahzad Ahmad Qureshi sustained serious injuries.

The injured officer was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, where he is receiving the best possible medical treatment.

Sources revealed that acting on a tip-off, the CCD Dera Ghazi Khan team conducted a raid on Multan Road late last night to apprehend Akbar Khosa. As soon as the suspects spotted the police team, they opened indiscriminate fire. In the retaliatory action, Akbar Khosa was killed, while his accomplices managed to flee the scene.

The CCD has formed special teams to ensure the immediate arrest of the absconding suspects, and a search operation is currently underway in the area.

A spokesperson for CCD Punjab stated that the department will continue its indiscriminate crackdown against criminal elements and that ensuring a safe and secure environment for the people of Punjab remains its top priority.
