LAHORE: A meeting of Horticulture Directors was held under the chairmanship of Additional Managing Director, Horticulture Agency Lahore, Tasleem Akhtar Rao, to review the existing facilities and identify missing amenities in C-Class parks across Lahore.
During the meeting, comprehensive planning for the upgradation of C-Class parks was discussed in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
On the directions of Managing Director Horticulture Agency Lahore Ahmed Usman Javed, proformas have been provided to the concerned directors to collect detailed information about the facilities available and those lacking in the parks.
Additional Managing Director Tasleem Akhtar Rao directed all Horticulture Directors to submit detailed reports on C-Class parks within two weeks.
The proforma covers information regarding the area of each park, boundary walls, walkways, jogging tracks, lighting arrangements, children’s swings, flower beds, grass lawns and trees.
The directors have also been directed to provide details about the availability of washrooms, drinking water, gyms and other essential and recreational facilities.
Tasleem Akhtar Rao said that the reports would serve as the basis for determining priorities and taking necessary measures for the improvement and upgradation of C-Class parks.
He said the objective is to provide citizens with better, quality and easily accessible recreational facilities while improving the overall condition and public utility of parks across Lahore.
