Pakistani Youth Standing Firmly with Armed Forces; Education, Health and Youth Empowerment Essential for National Progress: Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan

KASUR: Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan has said that the desired change in Pakistan can only be achieved through the country’s youth, describing them as the nation’s most valuable asset.

Addressing a youth convention in Khudian Khas, Kasur district, the Speaker said providing young people with opportunities was a fundamental responsibility of the government.

“The change we seek and the Pakistan we want to see can be achieved through our youth,” he said, adding that elected representatives must remain connected with the people and play their role in resolving problems in their respective constituencies.

Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan said he wanted Pakistani youth to be educated, politically and socially aware, and conscious of their rights and responsibilities. He said politics, government and the state belonged to the people and urged young people to play an active role in shaping the country’s future.

Referring to the security challenges facing Pakistan, the Speaker said hostile forces were attempting to create instability and targeting innocent citizens. He paid tribute to security personnel for their sacrifices and said Pakistani youth stood firmly with the armed forces.

Referring to the incident in Kohat, he said the tragedy had caused widespread grief but added that hostile forces could not break the resolve of the Pakistani nation. He stressed that national security was essential for continued economic development and prosperity.

The Speaker termed education one of the country’s biggest challenges, saying improvements in the education system could help address several problems confronting Pakistan. He said around 25 million children remain out of school, stressing the need to ensure access to education for every child.

Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan also highlighted the importance of improving the healthcare system, saying that both education and health were essential for the country’s development. He said the Punjab government was taking several measures to improve healthcare services.

He said youth conventions would continue to be organised to empower young people, utilise their abilities and bring them into the mainstream.

The Speaker also announced development projects for the area, saying that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif would attend the groundbreaking ceremony of a motorway project, while Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz would lay the foundation stone of a university in the area.

Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan urged young people to pursue education, develop awareness and contribute to the development and progress of Pakistan, stressing that the country’s future was closely linked with its younger generation.
