LAHORE: Principal of Ameer-ud-Din Medical College (AMC), Postgraduate Medical Institute (PGMI) and Lahore General Hospital (LGH), Prof. Dr. Jodat Saleem, accompanied by faculty members, held a detailed meeting with newly appointed Vice Chancellor of the University of Health Sciences (UHS), Major General (R) Prof. Dr. Sohail Sabir, at his office.
During the meeting, important matters relating to further improving the quality of medical education, reforming the examination system and strengthening academic and research collaboration between the two institutions were discussed.
The participants deliberated on strategies to make the examination system more transparent, effective and standards-based in line with modern requirements. They also discussed aligning the assessment of medical students with international standards and establishing a comprehensive MCQs question bank.
The heads of the institutions agreed to undertake joint academic initiatives aimed at promoting health education, strengthening the research culture and enhancing professional training for medical staff.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Vice Chancellor Major General (R) Prof. Dr. Sohail Sabir congratulated Prof. Dr. Jodat Saleem on assuming charge as Principal and presented him with a commemorative shield.
Prof. Dr. Jodat Saleem and the faculty members of Lahore General Hospital also congratulated the Vice Chancellor on his appointment at UHS and expressed their best wishes for his tenure.
The heads of both institutions reaffirmed their commitment to continued mutual cooperation for the advancement of medical education, research and the healthcare system.
