Peshawar – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has stressed the need for national consensus on the long-debated Kalabagh Dam project, calling it essential for Pakistan’s future generations and long-term development.
In a statement, Gandapur said that provincialism and personal interests should not come at the cost of the country’s collective welfare. “When it comes to Pakistan’s benefit, it cannot be pushed aside due to individual or provincial concerns,” he remarked.
He added that all stakeholders must be taken on board and their reservations addressed so that the project could move forward. According to Gandapur, building a project like the Kalabagh Dam would not only secure water resources but also strengthen the economy for the benefit of future generations.
